Trip to the Moon

A couple of weeks ago Robin, Emily and kids came out to visit.

And I believe this is the first time little Quinley has been to visit us.

Saturday morning Robin wanted to take us out south of town to a place where he remembered a crack in the ground. Unfortunately, he couldn't remember the exact spot.

Emily and Quinley ready to do some hiking.

Here I am watching Josh check out a bug. Earlier he got a little too curious with an ant and it bit him.

Chris has on a nice, shady hat.

K.D. is prepared with snacks.

Having not found the crack in the earth, we decided to take the kids to an area further south that has some weird, barren landscape. We had been there years ago and our kids dubbed the area "The Moon".

The kids had fun climbing on the small hills. Some of them had loose rocks and Josh called them "swippery".

Do you think K.D. knew I was taking her picture?

LaRue stayed by the car with Quinley. They got to have shade courtesy of a big rainbow umbrella.

More pictures of the kids hiking.

Brighton now has on the big hat.
