February Festivities

February has been a lot of family time. First Robin, Emily and the kids came for a weekend visit.

At one point Josh decided he wanted to play the organ:

Then this past Thursday it was Gary's birthday. LaRue and I drove out to Provo to help celebrate. Here is Gary opening the present LaRue and I got for him:

It's a Kindle!

Then we were joined by Andy, Laurie and Asher. Gary wanted to go to Sizzler to eat. Here's the birthday boy along with Liz and Asher:

The next day Robin, Emily, Brighton, KD, Chris and Josh came to Provo to get some family pictures before Andy, Laurie and Asher move to Portland, OR, in a week.
We all drove to this really neat place by the Utah State Hospital. In the hills above the hospital is a cool castle-like structure complete with outdoor amphitheater. It's the big structure behind Robin:

Here are Brighton, KD and Christopher climbing on a rock:

Andy and Asher are chasing around on the grounds:

We're all going to go up to the amphitheater to take some pictures:

Here are the rock stairs:

Liz was the photographer:

Here we all are:

All of Robin's family - Joshua, Christopher, Kjerstine, Brighton, Emily and Robin:

Andy, Asher and Laurie:

Me and LaRue:

Gary and Liz:

After taking pictures we all went to Chuck-A-Rama to eat. We had to take up two tables and a booth:

Chris had to join Grandma at the booth:

Then Saturday LaRue and I headed home. It was a rather tense drive. Going up Daniels Canyon it became quite snowpacked. We saw several semi trucks stopped in the middle of the road. It was pretty much a blizzard across the Strawberry Reservoir area and at best I think we drove 25 mph!

We Could Have Inexpensive Gas

People in the Middle East are paying 25 cents a gallon of gasoline. And us stupid Americans are going to be paying $5.00 a gallon come the summer of this year.
We have more oil inside our borders, than all the other proven reserves on earth.. Here are the official estimates:

- 8-times as much oil as Saudi Arabia
- 18-times as much oil as Iraq
- 21-times as much oil as Kuwait
- 22-times as much oil as Iran
- 500-times as much oil as Yemen
- and it's all right here in the Western United States .

HOW can we NOT BE extracting this? Because the environmentalists and others have blocked all efforts to help America become independent of foreign oil!
