Trail Center Quilt Show

These are from a Quilt Show at the Mormon Trail Center in Omaha. LaRue, Liz and Owen went to the exhibit during LaRue'a recent visit.

























The bird quilt was one of my favorites.























The quilt where Liz and Owen are standing near is my favorite quilt. I am standing by it too.



























This quilt was bought at a yard sale for $3.

ParaNormaN

Last Friday LaRue and I were in the Salt Lake City area for a couple of events. The first was me driving a race car at the Miller Racing Experience in Tooele (read more about that at JohnStuff).

The other event was meeting up with Andy, Laurie and Robin at the Mexaplex theaters at Jordan Commons in West Jordan to see ParaNormaN. As you all know, that is the movie that Andy was one of the animators on. If you're not familiar with it, here is one of the trailers:

The movie was great! LaRue and I really want to see it again. We will probably see it here in Vernal whenever it gets here. And I can't wait for the DVD.

35 years ago today we were married in the Manti Temple. You can see some pictures here - wedding pictures.

Restoring Love

Tonight LaRue and I finally got a chance to watch Glenn Beck's Restoring Love event that was held last Saturday evening at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas. It was really good and very inspirational.
It made me think about how we need to get back to some basic, fundamental values and to live those values.
