Boxtrolls

We have been waiting for Boxtrolls for a long time. So LaRue and I went to the very first showing here. It was the afternoon matinee.

We loved it! It was so fun.

There were quite a few families there to see it. And hearing the reactions of the kids in the audience was great. There were several times when we laughed out loud.

I don't know how anyone can see it just once. There is so much to look at in the movie. I don't think you can fully see everything on the screen until the dvd comes out and you can freeze frame it.

There are a couple of cood article on the Ain't It Cool News site:

Here is an interview with the directors - Capone goes frame by frame through THE BOXTROLLS with co-directors Graham Annable and Anthony Stacchi

And here is another article - Capone has a great deal of love and admiration for the artistry of THE BOXTROLLS

We have already made plans to see it again in a few days. Unlike the 2D matinee we will see it the second time in 3D.

And, of course, we loved seeing our son's name - Andy Bailey -  in the credits as an animator.
