Jeff, Who Lives at Home
About three months ago LaRue read an article in the Deseret News about a movie that was coming out. She said it sounded interesting and we should watch for it to hit the theaters. But it never came to Vernal.
Here's a link to the Deseret News article.
And you can visit the official site to see the trailer: Jeff, Who Lives at Home trailer
Here's some of the write-up from Amazon:
A wrong number and an infomercial conspire to send Jeff, who may smoke a bit too much pot, on a quest for signs from the universe that will lead him to his destiny--which might involve helping his obnoxious brother Pat discover his long-suffering wife Linda in an adulterous affair.
As slacker Jeff stumbles towards enlightenment, he uncovers answers to his nagging family’s problems. Jeff has no idea where he’s going but when he finally gets there, he might just find out what it’s all about in this “gem of a movie that is funny, tender and ultimately moving.â€
I had forgotten about it until the other day when I happened to go to a 7-11 and saw that Redbox had this movie. Of course, we rented it.
It's rated R for language. A lot of language. More f-bombs than rice at a wedding.
At first I really didn't care for Jeff's brother, but as the movie progresses you see him change and in the end he's a pretty likable fellow whom you are rooting for.
There is a lot more depth to this film than you would think and probably deserves a second viewing.
